Start Dating!

Tongue tied on your first date? Why is it that you had so much to talk about when chatting on the online dating site, but now that you're together in person you're at a loss for words? This is a strange but normal phenomenon! You, however, as a smart savvy person who has spent time preparing yourself by reading about dating online, will be totally ready and non-tongue tied! Listed below are some standard first date appropriate topics which you can have ready in your back pocket in case awkward silences should arise. Talk about you, but also turn these topics into questions to ask your date.

*One last minute ice-breaking tip for you: In your last correspondence about your date online, on the online dating site or through email, agree to each have a joke ready to tell. Then, when you see each other, don't start with, "Hi, um...I'm...uh!" Start directly with the jokes. It's a great way to ease into being around each other.

• Where would you most like to live?


• What would your ideal job be?


• Board games you enjoy playing (or used to when you were younger)


• Favorite drink (alcoholic or otherwise)
