Online Dating Reviews and Advice
When should you take the next step and meet your online date in person?
Online dating is a fantastic way to meet new people, for friendship, conversation, love, and even marriage. But when should you take the plunge and schedule a real live date? Well, my online dating advice on this subject depends on several factors.
1. Why are you using an online dating site?
If your purpose is simply to find someone to chat with or email, then you never have to make a live date (unless you so desire of course!). If you're seeking something more than an online dating relationship, eventually you will want to meet. So...
2. What are you comfortable with?
There is no perfect formula to traditional live dating nor is there one for online dating. And really, online dating sites haven't existed through enough decades for anyone to decide on a perfect formula even if that were possible! So I ask again: What are you comfortable with? If you don't feel ready to move past online dating, chat, and email, your live dating experience isn't as likely to be successful (since you'll be too nervous). You're never going to be completely free of nerves, but once you feel like you know someone a little bit you'll likely be less nervous on your first live date.

3. Is your date ready to meet?
The best way to find out is obviously by asking, but there are certain signs to look for. Has he/she hinted around that they'd like to meet you? Does he/she make frequent attempts to communicate with you online? Has he/she made more than one allusion to a restaurant, bar, coffee shop, or movie that he/she'd like to visit/watch? This is a sure sign he/she is ready for more than online dating.
Whatever you decide, to go beyond the online dating site or to wait a bit longer, remember to relax and enjoy yourself. Dating is meant to be fun! Live it up!
